DATIA Provides Israeli Anti-Drug Authority With Drug-Free Workplace Assistance

On November 7, 2003, the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) was honored to host two delegates from the Israeli Anti Drug Authority. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss ways in which Israel could promote drug prevention efforts in the workplace. As the Department of Labor’s Working Partners Program seemed to be the United States’ equivalent of the type of program Israel is looking to establish, DATIA invited representatives from the Department of Labor’s Working Partners Program to participate in the meeting as well. Question: In the past, DATIA provided its members with a website where they could obtain state drug and alcohol testing laws. That web address was http://www.notes.dol.gov/said.nsf/US+Nav+for+Laws?OpenNavigator. I tried to access this link, but it is no longer working. Is there another site available with the same information?
Answer: The link that you are referring to is part of The Department of Labor- Working Partners website. This site has been totally revamped to better connect employers to valuable online information and tools available to help them establish drug-free workplace programs. The previous link is no longer available. The state laws are now located at http://said.dol.gov/StateLaws.asp.
