Make Plans to Receive Needed Training

Since 2001, the Department of Transportation has had comprehensive training requirements in place. Many of the training deadlines passed in January of this year and the remaining deadline for SAP training and certification is December of this year. Not receiving the required training can result in serious consequences, both for your company and its clients. DATIA encourages all industry professionals to review its complete industry training calendar and make plan now to receive any and all training required by DOT.
Question & Answer: Excerpts from the DATIA Forum

Question: What is the correct way to do picks for a company based pool (FMCSA) with only 5 employees? Is it correct to say that 3 employees should be tested for drugs and at least one for breath alcohol for the year?

Answer: Yes, the employer will have to test 3 employees for drugs and 1 for alcohol. The selections must be spaced evenly through the year. So I would suggest, depending on your computer system, selecting 1 name every 4 months for drugs and just make one of those alcohol.
If your software will not allow that, then I would suggest maybe just skipping on of the quarters. But make sure that the employees in the pool don't know and I would not make it the forth quarter.
