Question: I am currently a Certified Professional Collector® (CPC) through DATIA, but I am planning to attend the Certified Professional Collector Trainer® (CPCT) course in Orlando, FL on May 12, 2005. Will I have to take 2 exams this year? One to renew my CPC status, and another to become a CPCT?
Answer: No, you should only take one exam this year. Your payment for the CPCT course includes the certification exam. You can register to take the CPCT exam before your expiration date of June 1, 2005, and you will not have to take another exam until the following certification year.
