| DATIA Announces Board of Directors Slate for 2005 Elections |
|
|
|
There was an overwhelming response this year from members interested in running for one of the six open seats on DATIA’s board of directors.
The Nominating Committee, which consists of three random DATIA members and the previous DATIA board chairman, reviewed all of the submissions and selected those who the committee members felt were the best matches for the DATIA board. After much consideration and deliberation, DATIA’s Nominating Committee has recommended a slate to serve on the 2005-2006 Board in addition to those current Board members whose terms do not expire in 2005.

Ballots were faxed to all voting members today. Please be sure to register your vote and return the ballot to DATIA by April 1, 2005.
Should the slate be rejected by the membership, nominations will be made from the floor during the Membership Meeting at the Annual Conference on May 14, 2005. Question: I noticed that there is a space on the Annual Conference registration form that asks how many people will be attending the welcoming reception. I am the only person coming, do I need to mark myself as one?
Answer: No, the welcoming reception is included for all individuals registered for the Annual Conference. You should only mark that space if you are planning to bring a guest who is not registered for the conference.
