DATIA Members Affected by Hurrincanes Katrina and Rita
|
|
|
Several DATIA members in the Gulf Coast have been significantly affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Facilities have been damaged (some completely destroyed) and jobs lost.
Several members have contacted DATIA to let us know that they are looking to relocate and find new jobs within the drug and alcohol testing industry. In an effort to help these members rebuild, DATIA is using the RFP page of our website to post resumes and job listings for our friends in East Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Mississippi.
If you have a resume to post or open positions at your company, please use the DATIA Request for Proposals (RFP)/Solicitation page to let us know or email us at info@datia.org. The RFP/Solicitation page is normally a locked page, only viewed by members of DATIA. However, DATIA will open this page to the public in an effort to assist our members.

Did You Miss DATIA's Top 5 in '05 Workshop?

For those of you who were not able to attend DATIA's Top 5 in '05 Workshop in Boston this month, you now have the opportunity to order the workshop manual online.
The manual is filled with presentations from each speaker. Some of their topics of discussion during the meeting were:

Question: I have completed DATIA's online certification course and exam. Have I now met the training requirements to collect DOT specimens?
Answer: DATIA's certification course and exam online meets all of the DOT collector training requirements, except for one. In order to complete the training requirements, you must complete 5 consecutive error free mock collections, and they must be monitored by someone who has been regularly doing DOT collections for at least a year or who has completed a "train the trainer" course.
