DATIA Red Book of Federal Regulations PDF Print Email
WHAT IS DATIA'S RED BOOK?
The Red Book in an inclusive guide to federal regulations for drug and alcohol testing. It includes 49 CFR Part 40 in its entirety, plus the regulations for all DOT testing modes, information for government contractors, and the Department of Health
and Human Services' guidelines.

WHY DO I NEED THE RED BOOK?
All drug and alcohol testing professionals who perform any role in mandated testing need a copy of the Red Book. It provides all of the information you need to keep your company and your clients compliant with federal regulations. It is one-stop-shopping for questions about collection procedures, MRO review, the role of service agents, laboratories, chain of custody and more. When your client has a question, you will have an answer!

IF I ORDER A PRINT RED BOOK, HOW WILL I KNOW WHEN THERE ARE REGULATION CHANGES?
The regulations in your Red Book will be current as of the day it ships to you. Beyond that time, DATIA recommends subscribing to our Red Book Update Service. For an annual fee, you will receive monthly notices of changes to federal regulations, and new sections for your Red Book with the updated information. If there are no changes in a given month, you'll receive a notice of that too.

HOW MUCH DOES A RED BOOK COST?
A print Red Book is $195 (members) or $205 (non-members), and one year of updates for your print Red Book is $149.

Given the cost of non-compliance, can you afford NOT to have a Red Book?
