DATIA is currently seeking input from members for the development of a curriculum for a new training seminar for MRO assistants. We are looking for proposals from members on education that you feel is needed for the industry. Specifically, we would like to see proposals to develop new curriculum to be presented in a seminar for MRO assistants.
To respond to this RFP, please submit an outline of your envisioned course curriculum to DATIA by Friday, November 5, 2004. Please be sure to make the outline as complete as possible. We anticipate that outlines will be at least two pages, but more lengthy as necessary. The person who submits the proposal that DATIA identifies as having the most relevant curriculum will be awarded $750. The person who submits the proposal that DATIA identifies as having the 2nd most relevant curriculum will be awarded $500, and the person who submits the proposal that DATIA identifies as having the 3rd most relevant curriculum will be awarded $250. Ten runners-up will each be awarded a $25 gift certificate that can be applied to future DATIA purchases (i.e. membership dues, course registrations, Red Books, etc.).
DATIA may use a curriculum in its entirety or may combine curriculums to develop the final course curriculum. One of the top submitters will then be selected to write a complete course manual based on this final curriculum to include sources and a bibliography. The complete course manual text will be due to DATIA by January 3, 2005. The person who prepares the course manual text will be provided $2,500 for his/her services. The first course using the new curriculum will be presented in the spring of 2005.
Course outlines (proposals) may be submitted via email, fax, or mail, however they must be received by Friday, November 5, 2004. Please be sure to provide your complete contact information with the proposal so that we can identify the submitter. All curriculum submissions to DATIA become the property of DATIA, and DATIA will hold the sole copyright for the final course manual.
Any questions on this request for proposals should be directed to Melissa Moskal, DATIA executive director, at 800-355-1257 or mmoskal@datia.org. We look forward to receiving your proposals!
