As an association, DATIA submits comments on behalf of its members; however, it is imperative that individual members also submit comments. Numbers matter, and the more comments submitted in support of or opposition to a proposed regulation are the better. Below are guidelines to assist you in submitting comments on proposed rules. Enter the docket number (leave out the agency and year)
Follow instructions to submit comments electronically
For all other agencies
See Action Section of the proposed rule to find the Docket number. If it is not there, refer to the last sentence of the document (FR Doc. 0X-XXX). The action section is located at the beginning of the document.
See the Addresses section of the rule to see where to send comments, Most accept mail, fax, and electronic comment submissions. If all fails and you cannot find the docket number of a regulation or proposed regulation, look for the line the regulation. It will most definitely be included there.
